Disney Theatrical Group has announced that Broadway performer Bradley Gibson will make his West End debut starring as Hercules at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Gibson will step into the role from 29 June, reprising the performance he originated in the world premiere production of Hercules in New Jersey in 2023.
The full company for the musical’s final extension in London will be announced shortly.

Bradley Gibson said, “What an honour to step back into the role of Hercules which I had the enormous privilege of originating back home. To come full circle with this epic production, and make my West End debut at the glorious Theatre Royal Drury Lane is an absolute dream come true.”
The stage musical features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by David Zippel, and a new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah.
The production is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with co-choreography by Tanisha Scott, and is inspired by Disney’s 1997 animated film.
The original film was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements and received critical acclaim, including a Best Animation Feature win at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards, alongside an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.
Set in Ancient Greece, Hercules follows a wise-cracking hero caught between mortal and godly worlds as he attempts to stop Hades and discover what it truly means to be a hero.
The musical promises a high-energy mix of adventure, self-discovery and love, complete with epic choreography and tongue-in-cheek humour.
