A beer garden is probably not the first thought to come to mind when looking for a festive venue in the middle of winter in London. But prepare to be pleasantly surprised because Between The Bridges has received a festive Christmas makeover that’ll make you re-consider if beer gardens are reserved just for summer hangouts.

Between The Bridges has brought back their popular Electric Winter activation, a free-entry festive venue on Southbank with street food galore, warming winter tipples, and a lively events calendar. Named for its location – tucked between Waterloo Bridge and Westminster Bridge – Electric Winter at Between The Bridges is running through to Saturday, December 23 and spreading a hefty dose of festive cheer.

In the warmer months, the venue has a mix of indoor and outdoor areas but for Electric Winter all of the areas are heated, roofed and winter-proofed to keep guests cosy and comfy – just the way we like it. Decked out with giant baubles and snowflakes, canopies of twinkling lights, and lashings of Christmas foliage, Electric Winter is the ultimate destination for food, drinks, and fun.

Live DJs take to the decks from Thursday to Sunday each week along with weekly themed craft markets every Sunday. There’s plenty of choice for grub thanks to a delightful street food line up. Guests can choose from the likes of Chick’n’Sours, Bang Bang Burger, Made of Dough, La Cocinita, and more. And naturally, the drinks are flowing – with Christmas cocktails, craft beer, mulled wine, and more on offer.

As if that wasn’t enough, there are also regular events up the wazoo. The festivities kicked off with a bang back in November, with the opening night’s Barrioke seeing the iconic Barry from EastEnders take to the stage for a night of karaoke. Other events to look forward to include Swiftogeddon: The Taylor Swift Club Night, Drag Brunch, and plenty more.
