Sailboat below deck recently returned to Bravo, and at least one cast member is already falling for the role. In the months leading up to that Sailboat below deck season 5 premiere, speculation rose as to whether this Below decks spin-off would never see the light of day again, mainly due to allegations of abuse by Gary King. Now that the show is back, Gary isn’t the only actor who gives viewers a lot of drama. Chef Cloyce Martin has received mixed reviews for his skills and ability to handle the stress that comes with the job.

the actress comes under fire for having fun with guests instead of doing her job – and Captain Glenn Shephard is not happy.

Bravo recently shared a preview clip for the next episode Sailboat below deck season 5, which begins the second day of the charter by showing Chef Cloyce having fun in the water with the guests. Captain Glenn Shephard tells Gary to tell Cloyce to get back on the boat so he can start making lunch to guests, which is supposed to be served in 30 minutes. “If you’re a little young for your roles, you should err on the side of professionalism“, Glenn explains in the confessional.

When Cloyce finally returns, Glenn questions whether he can finish lunch in time. Cloyce confidently says she only needs 20 minutes. In his own confession, the chef said that he has worked with captains in the past who were relaxed and didn’t mind him having fun. Later in the preview video, the guests sit at the table ready to eat, but Cloyce is still working in the kitchen, not ready. Guests have been waiting for more than 15 minutes, and Cloyce finally admits that she underestimated how much time she would need.

What chef Cloyce Martin’s lack of professionalism means for his job

Parsifal III has high expectations for the crew

During the summer, another franchise chef faced accusations that he was not up to the job. During Deck Med season 9, chef Johnathan Shillingford was accused of faking his poor skills in the kitchen. At the beginning of the season, it became clear that Johnathan was having trouble following the recommendations. At one point, he even served a plate to a guest who could have had a serious medical emergency if he had eaten the food.

With these red flags still on fans’ minds, it feels like déjà vu Sailboatthere is yet another chef who does not live up to the high expectations that the crew should achieve. Colin may have served under former captains with lax rules, but still Parsifal IIIwe look forward to your excellent service. In the past, there have been many guests who have waited a long time for their meals to be served. Although this is nothing new, it doesn’t show the chefs Below decks the franchise company intends to improve its time management skills.

These charter guests paid a lot of money for the trip; they should not have to wait long as the crew are well aware of when meals should be served. I’m sure the guests had a great time with Cloyce in the water, but the chef should have known better as it is ultimately his responsibility. Almost every season Below decks contains at least one trigger. If Sailboat season 5 follows this pattern, then Chef Cloyce could be the first chopping block. Cloycela has a reality TV past, which could fuel accusations that she is a production factory.
