Battersea Park in Concert is back for a second edition this year after a successful debut. From Saturday 24 August to Monday 26 August, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the best of classical, West End and jazz music.

Tickets go on sale today (23 February) at 12pm – you can buy them here. Set against the stunning backdrop of Battersea Park, the summer concert series offers a unique program filled with music and food each day.

Kicking off Saturday with Proms in the Park, the world-renowned Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, led by conductor Pete Harrison, will take to the stage to take audiences on a journey through orchestral music. The show will feature timeless melodies by Bach and Mozart, as well as compositions by Tchaikovsky and a fireworks finale.

As host and special guest will be Myleene Klass, classical artist and presenter of her own weekly Classic FM show. Sunday will feature A Night at the Musicals with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and a host of special guest singers, conducted by Richard Balcombe and hosted by Olivier Award-winning West End star Cassidy Janson, who will also open the evening with a byplay. .

The evening will see over 25 songs from the ages of musical theater, including Broadway classics, sing-along favorites, ensembles and solos. Fans of musicals such as Chicago, Rent, Six, The Greatest Showman, Grease and many more will get a chance to hear their favorite songs performed live by Jenna Lee James, Sharon Rose, Ricardo Afonso and Dean Chisnall, all supported by a 40-strong cast London Concert Chorus.

The final day of the event will be dedicated to all that jazz with Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra. Led by Pete Long, the big band will dazzle the crowd with their interpretations of jazz classics, big swing numbers and modern favorites and will be joined by a number of guest vocalists.

Attendees can also pre-Book a selection of picnics made by The Luxury Picnic Co, which come with artisan cheeses, charcuterie selections and desserts. And brand new for this year, KERB, known for its fantastic street food, will be in charge of the culinary and bar experience.
