of 2024 Evil the film shows the story behind several main characters in 1939 The Wizard of Ozincluding how Boq eventually becomes the Tin Man.
This year Bad part 1 and its upcoming sequel is a prequel to the story’s climax the wizard of oz, Setting up an adventure for characters like Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion.
At the center of everything are Cynthia Erivon’s Elphaba (Wicked Witch of the West) and Ariana Grande’s Glinda (The Good Witch). Although for the second film, the original, there are still a lot of blanks to fill Evil the play gives viewers a good idea of what to expect at the end of 2025.
How does Boq turn into the tin man?
Warning – the rest of this article contains spoilers for Act 2 of the musical Wicked and possible spoilers for Wicked Part 2.
Ethan Slater’s Boq Woodsman is one of the main characters of 2024 Bad part 1who primarily serves as the love interest of Elphaba’s younger sister, Nessarose. Boq is a Munchkin who befriends Nessarose at Shiz University, though Nessarose realizes she has deeper feelings for Boq than she does for him.
Unfortunately, Boq’s friendship with Nessarose is something he uses to get closer to Glinda, whose story alongside Elphaba is explored throughout. Bad part 1. To his disappointment, Glinda has no interest in him and doesn’t even bother to remember his name.
Boq is eventually enslaved as Nessarose’s personal servant when he becomes governor of Munchkinland, and resents him when he confesses his love for Glinda.
He then tries to cast a love spell he finds in Elphaba’s spell Book on Boq, mispronouncing the spell. This causes Boq’s heart to shrink until it is completely gone, though Elphaba casts a spell on Boq that puts him to sleep.
Elphaba ends up saving Boq’s life, even though his body is now completely tin, as he transforms into the Tin Man.
What happens in Wicked Part 2?
By the end of the year Bad part 1Boq has yet to experience his transformative moment when he becomes the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. However, it is sure to be one of the biggest scenes that fans can expect to see in 2025 Part 2.
End Part 1 sees Nessarose taking over as governor of Munchkinland and taking Boq along on an unpleasant journey for the time being. After the next movie, viewers will see her cast a love spell on Boqi that shrinks his heart, before Elphaba saves him from the gray in the end.
Elsewhere the plot Evil Part 2 sees Elphaba’s evolution into the Wicked Witch of the West after the thrilling and emotional ending of the first film.
While there are still plenty of other plot details to come in the next film, Boq and the rest of the cast are in for a life-changing development from here on out.
