Asda has appointed Morrisons Marketing Director Rachel Ery’s new customer director.

Eyre previously kept the role of Morrisons’ customer and marketing manager, overseeing the grocery store customer service, brand, marketing, digital and PR features.

Before moving to Morrisons in 2021, Eyre organized several older marketing and commercial tasks in Sainsbury and Barclays.

Eyre follows David Hills, former ASDA customer manager, who announced that he would leave the supermarket in March 18 months after the role.

Hills recently led to the awakening of the ASDA return campaign, which was re -introduced as the dealer sought to return his property.

Allan Leighton, CEO of ASDA, said: “Rachel is an experienced leader with a strong experience in the grocery store and we are happy to welcome her to ASDA.

“He plays a central role to ensure that the customer voice is our driving purpose and shows how the return and the ASDA price produce good, honest value for them.”

Eyre added: “Asda is an iconic brand with a long legacy as a consumer champion. I look forward to working with Allan and the rest of the team to make sure that the customer’s voice is a striker’s heart when we return ourselves to the lowest full -service supermarket.”
