Football supporters and fans of reality TV have been given a new series to sink their teeth into with the release of Married to the Game.

The six-part series was released on Amazon Prime Video on Friday (February 23) and goes behind the scenes with several Premier League players and their partners.

Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and James Tarkowski are among the players to feature in it, while Arsenal’s Jorginho is also in the series.

And Jorginho had some fans chuckling with his response in the series when partner Cat Harding asks the Italian before a date if he was planning to propose to her that night.

“You’re not going to propose to me today are you?” she asks, before Jorginho bluntly responds: “No.”

She goes on to tell Jorginho she is going to leave her ring finger free, to which the Italy international says: “It’s going to stay free, it’s going to stay free.”

The exchange amused X users, with one responding: “Evades the press on and off the pitch,” while another suggested that Jorginho’s frustrated reaction was down to the fact that he was in fact planning to propose that night. “Looks like he was proposing that day. Ruined,” they wrote.

That theory might have legs given Jorginho and Harding got engaged towards the back end of last year, with a wedding reportedly planned for 2025.
