Selling Sunset season 8 really does drop bombshell after bombshell, with the main one coming in the shape of allegations surrounding Chelsea Lazkani’s husband. Jeff has never spoken out about the claims and they are currently unfounded. The rumour emerged when Bre Tiesi met up with fellow cast member Amanda Lynn, who showed her texts alleging Chelsea’s husband Jeff Lazkani had been spotting with someone else in a hotel lobby. So, where does their relationship stand now?

What happened for Chelsea and Jeff in Selling Sunset season 8?

If you’ve been watching the new Selling Sunset series, you’ll see Chelsea and Jeff’s relationship take centre stage. In one scene, Bre meets up with Chelsea for a drink to share currently unconfirmed rumours about her husband Jeff: “I don’t know how the f*** this is supposed to come out of my mouth right now.

“I know you don’t necessarily care for me, but I wouldn’t wish this on you or anyone ever. Like I’ve seriously been there and it’s awful. But regardless, it was brought up, she said it, and I feel like you have the right to know.”

In response, Chelsea says her intuition was telling her something was off in the relationship, before she broke down. While we never see Chelsea approach Jeff to speak about what she’s heard, we do see the fallout of their relationship, with Chelsea relying on Chrishell and Emma for emotional support.

When did Chelsea and Jeff get together?

Chelsea and Jeff met on Tinder in 2015 and got married two years later. They share a son and a daughter, Maddox and Melia.

In 2022, she told the Daily Mail, “We spoke about 15 times before getting together. I don’t want to waste my time and give my energy to somebody if I don’t think it will be worth it. I felt like I knew him before we even met and the connection was immediate.

She continued, “I just got lucky. My husband is amazing and I still wonder how I found this kind of love because it’s so hard.”

When was Selling Sunset season 8 filmed?

Judging by the cast’s Instagram posts, reports of mudslides as a result of “monster” storms – and Amanza’s birthday date (12 December) – Selling Sunset season 8 was filmed roughly between November 2023 and February 2024.

Are Chelsea and Jeff still together now?

Om 27th March 2024, TMZ reported that Chelsea had filed for divorce, with legal documents citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the official reason for their split, with no mention of prior allegations. Reports claimed she requested ‘joint physical and legal custody’ as well as ‘spousal support’.

While Chelsea didn’t provide an exact date for separation, she did wipe every trace of Jeff from her Instagram page. It’s not clear if the divorce has been finalised, but at the end of season eight, Chelsea is seen taking off her wedding ring in a confessional and saying, “I think this needs to come off. The foundation I built in Manhattan Beach is something I thought I would be building for years to come. I would have fought to the very end for my marriage.”

She added to Emma, “I haven’t really wrapped my head around what the next couple months, let alone the next couple of years, would look like for me.But something about being in this house just screams new beginnings for me and I’m kind of not closing my mind to it like I was before, I’m just embracing it.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea told Cosmopolitan UK on 16th September 2024 that she was learning to navigate single life. “This new chapter… I’ve been through a lot this year. And now I’m single, I’m navigating being single, and it’s not so much dating or anything like that. It’s really about loving myself and finding myself, and falling in love with new things again. Life is strange, but life is so beautiful right now. And I’m taking every day as it comes. I’m just really grateful.”

It’s worth noting that Jeff has never publicly responded to the rumours that emerged, nor do we ever find out if there’s any truth to them. We have reached out to Jeff Lazkani for comment.
