With the Festival of Storytellers Chapter 6 coming right around the corner, it’s important we keep track of our VIAs (very important authors) and hold them front and center so the world knows more about them. At , our mission has always been to share our author’s and your stories with the world, and we plan to go super, duper big on that in 2025, starting with our annual Festival of Storytellers.
A member of the Lancaster Baptist Church in California, Jamie commits wholly to the church during her free time, from volunteering to joining in service. From these experiences, she draws much into her writing. The many lessons she’s acquired are enough to fill a whole library, and—lucky for us—she’s started by having written three books already! They are Servants Heart From the Voice of a Volunteer, Encouraging a Friend With Our Trials, and A Widow’s Cry: A Helpful Tool for Widow Ministries. Her fourth book, Family Memories, has a little mystery in it! springs from her fond memories of family and everything associated with it. Regardless, all of her books are a reflection of her overwhelming kindness—which she attributes to the Lord’s inexhaustible wellspring of love—and her desire to lend a hand, an ear, a shoulder, and whatever else! She is a woman of deep favor, deeper friendship, and the deepest faith!

An Author of Faith
“Keep on singing,” remarks a reviewer of one of Jamie’s books. Her books come from an honest and sincere heart that wishes only to convey her faith to others. She is a “token of grace” to many of her family, her friends, her fellow churchgoers, and her readers. You are never without an opportunity to deepen your faith in God and your relationship with Jesus when you are poring through her words and meditating upon them. She always uses examples of her own life to punctuate the ideas and lessons of how to be a good Christian. That’s how dedicated she is to spreading the faith! Her first book, Encouraging a Friend with Our Trials, is a prime example of this, where she lays out almost much of her adult life in service to the Lord.
In Encouraging a Friend with Our Trials, she helps readers with pictures, verses from the Bible, and her own words of encouragement to usher the first steps of healing, especially to those who’ve been in accidents or in need of help. While this book is written mostly for Christians who need uplifting, anyone can get help from this book. This is a piece of writing that hopes to bless and hearten readers. Not because it is full of wonderful writing or personal reflections—which it is—but because it is a true story rendered for the honest reader.
