Contestants can no longer rely on American Idol tours

For now, seems like No amount of Darkness is a one-off concert for Abi. However, he may be doing this on purpose to test the show’s popularity before expanding to a nationwide tour. If he had competed American Idol for most of the FOX era (and the first year of the ABC era) she would have been guaranteed a US national tour with her co-star. American Idol season 22 finalists.

However, as ratings for all TV shows, incl Idolcalculated, interest American Idols Live! Tour decreased, and were eventually cancelled. These summer concerts were a great way for the finalists to earn money after the end of the season. In the early years of the year American Idol the tours featured contestants performing to sold-out arenas throughout the United States and parts of Canada. American Idol season 14 was the last FOX season to feature the tour; it was briefly revived American Idol season 16 before it’s canceled entirely.
