‘Globally loved’ artists will head to Victoria Park this summer for a massive new festival from the All Points East team. LIDO will transform Tower Hamlets’ green space into a “celebration of music, culture and connectivity” over two weekends in June 2025.

Organizers AEG say the “fan-first” festival will be curated by the artists themselves, and feature community-driven line-ups and emerging artist scenes. Not much is known about the headliners yet, but with artists such as Mitski, Loyle Carner and Suki Waterhouse playing All Points East this year, it’s likely that some big names could play LIDO as well.

A free midweek program of arts and wellness activities is also planned, with the hope that it will provide a platform for local talent to shine. As part of this, students at East London Arts and Music will be given the opportunity to perform and learn skills in festival production and technology.

Jim King, Managing Director of European Festivals at AEG Presents said: “The LIDO Festival represents the next step in AEG’s festival journey. Taking place at Victoria Park, one of our favorite venues in the heart of London’s creative district, the Lido Festival allows us to push our ambitions even further when it comes to working with young people in the industry and those aspiring to be in it.

“The most exciting thing is that it is about a new generation of artists, whether they are headliners or performing for the first time. The vision of supporting the artists’ journey is further developed as we program directly with the headliner every day.”

AEG will work with London-based suppliers and staff, putting sustainability at the heart of ensuring East London reaps as many benefits as possible from the exciting addition to its summer calendar. It is hoped the festival will be as successful as All Points East, which contributes over £45m to the local economy each year thanks to music fans spending money on accommodation, food and entertainment.

Kamrul Hussain, Cabinet Member for Culture and Recreation at Tower Hamlets Council said: “This new festival, coming to our multi-award winning Victoria Park, has the potential to provide more opportunities for residents to benefit from cultural events, increase spending and boost our local economy by visits to the borough and generate more income to support municipal services including the maintenance of our parks and open spaces.”
