a selection of bowls of crisps

An estimated six billion packets of crisps are eaten annually in the UK, which sounds like a lot, but that’s only 86 packets each a year, or one packet every four days..! If you, like me, are consuming far more than your fair share, then I have the dream job offer: Aldi’s Official Crisp Taster.

If you consider yourself a crisp connoisseur, you could receive a FREE selection of crisps from the budget supermarket to rate and review on: taste, crunch, texture and appearance. Your feedback will help guide the supermarket’s buying team on potential future flavours.

Aldi’s first-ever Official Crisp Taster in 2024, NHS worker George Critchley from Sheffieldimpressed judges with his deep love for crisps—even his wedding tables were named after varieties like Wotsits and Discos. He said, “It wasn’t just fun, it was a genuine opportunity to shape the future of snacks for a whole nation.”

We’re expecting hundreds, if not thousands, of applications for what’s got to be the most in-demand job in the country. Brassic’s Michelle Keegan has already applieddeclaring to her 7.5 million Instagram followers when the role first opened last year: “IS THIS TRUE @aldiuk because I am READY and available with lots of experience.”

How do I apply to become Aldi’s ‘Official Crisp Taster’?

To apply to become Aldi’s Official Crisp Taster. To be in with a chance of landing this dream job, you must send a video application to [email protected] with the following details:
