Hidden in a market in London is a unique little Italian restaurant. It is so small that it only has one table.

The venue acknowledges its capacity limitations for customers at Netil Market, Hackney. On its website, Sugo82 says: “We recommend you make a reservation if you want to come and sit, as it is usually booked with only one table.”

It adds that dining in its private room is a “trattoria experience”. The restaurant says it works with regenerative farmers “as much as possible”, and serves “natural, healthy and delicious” ingredients.

The website also reads: “We balance our meat consumption, trying to follow the land and only use naturally farmed or, when we can, wild meat. We aim to import as little as possible, with the aim of working with local producers and following the British seasons.”

Secret London described the venue on TikTok: “Tucked away in Netil Market you’ll find the truly delightful Sugo82. Bringing a slice of Italy to the Big Smoke, you and your friends can dine On top of the kitchen overlooking the rest of the market.”

The restaurant has also been serving private events since 2017. For weddings, parties and corporate events, the Sugo family says it delivers an “authentic Italian experience”.

From £10 per head, customers can choose their menu with the restaurant and design a ‘delicious experience’ for guests.
