A new, ground-breaking live music event that brings the most iconic gaming soundtracks to life is coming to London next year. Known as Playstation The Concertthe state-of-the-art production merges thrilling music, cutting-edge visual technology, and legendary video game titles into one to create an unbelievable experience.

Described as “more than just a show” but rather “the ultimate video game concert experience”PlayStation The Concert will tour UK arenas in April 2025, calling at Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, and also London’s Wembley Arena. The global tour launches with a world premiere on April 15, 2025, in Dublin, Ireland, before heading to over 200 cities across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and beyond.

PlayStation™ The Concert transports fans into the epic worlds of God of War, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushimaand Horizon; games that have not only captivated players but are celebrated for their breathtaking and immersive soundtracks. With innovative technology and world-class production, fans will experience a stunning fusion of multi-layered visuals, immersive surround sound, and an all-star ensemble blending classical and modern instruments.

The legendary scores from composers like Gustavo Santaolalla (The Last of Us), Joris De Man (Horizon), Ilan Eshkeri (Ghost of Tsushima), and Bear McCreary (God of War) will all feature in the production, offering fans a unique, deeply immersive live concert experience. Organisers behind the event have said the four games set to feature in the production “aren’t just titles” but are “cultural touchstones that have reshaped the entertainment landscape”.

PlayStation released its first console back in 1994 and became the first video game console ever to sell more than 120 million units. Since then, it has released a number of new models, including the most recent PlayStation 5 in 2020.

Of the titles set to feature in PlayStation The Concert, God of War is the longest-standing franchise with its first game being released in 2005. The action-adventure game is based on ancient mythologies and follows Spartan warrior Kratos as he becomes the God of War.

As for The Last of Ussome may be more familiar with the HBO adaptation based on the PlayStation games that follows a post-apocalyptic mutation and stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones).

The game Horizon is set in a world overrun by animal-like machines and its success led to the creation of a LEGO video game inspired by the series coming out later this year. Lastly, Ghost of Tsushimawhich was released in 2020 and follows a Japanese samurai in Tsushima Island as he battles between how he battles the Mongols, has been praised for its gorgeous graphics as well as its storyline and music.
