You’re absolutely spot on, Beyoncé – this ain’t Texas; this is Tooting. Which is arguably even better. Because his summer, Tooting Common will be transformed into a hub of country music and more, as it welcomes London’s very first outdoor country festival, Country on the Common.

A celebration of all things country, roots and blues; Country on the Common will land on the common’s Lido Field on July 5 and 6. The line-up is yet to be announced but it’s set to be two days, jam-packed with the likes of live music, line dancing, axe throwing, food stalls, and family-friendly activities. Sounds toot-ally brilliant to me (see what I did there?).

Hoping to attract an audience of country-lovers from across Wandsworth and beyond, the festival has been organised by Enable and will be delivered as part of Wandsworth Council’s London Borough of Culture programme. The extensive year-long programme kicked off in April and will see a whole host of exciting arts and music events take place across the beloved borough.

The Country on the Common line-up is yet to be announced, but visitors can expect to see live performances from both established acts and up-and-coming talentshining a spotlight on the diversity and vibrancy of the UK’s country music scene. With capacity to welcome up to 6000 country-enthusiasts, Country on the Common is set to be a true highlight of London’s summer events calendar. Ceehaw!

Country on the Common will be taking place on Tooting Common on July 5 and 6. Find out more and sign up for presale access here.
