We all love free food, right? There’s nothing better than picking up a sample from a market vendor or chowing down on a whole meal without parting with any of our cash. And given the damage that Christmas and New Year’s partying has wreaked upon our bank balances, we’re more in need of freebies than ever before. Thankfully, one of London’s favourite pizza chains is coming to the rescue with free pizza to save our stomachs and our purse strings.
That’s right folks, none other than the sourdough-pie-purveyors at Franco Manca are serving up pizzas to Londoners this January – absolutely free! They’re doling out the free pies to celebrate their new opening in Brixton, which sees their original Brixton flagship moving to a bigger site.
There’s one big question that stands between you and your free pizza: Is your name Franco or Franca? Because, unfortunately for all of us Sams and Jacks and Tamsins, the free pizza is only for those who share a name with the pizzeria itself. Since the pizzeria’s name translates to ‘Franco is missing’, they’re looking to find their lost Francos and Francas and reward them with free pizza.
How to get a free pizza from Franco Manca?
The promotion is running between January 15 – 31, and is available at any Franco Manca restaurant nationwide. Make sure to bring your ID though, as they’ll be after a bit of proof that you are one of the missing Francos/Francas. You’ll then be able to enjoy any pizza from the menu – absolutely free! (Psst… that includes their new special No.10 from acclaimed Italian chef Francesco Mazzei. The pie comes topped with a lightly spiced yellow tomato base, Prosciutto Parmacotto, smoked burrata, mozzarella, fresh basil and black pepper.)
