It’s full steam ahead for train and traction engine enthusiasts, with a collection of around 150 lots coming up for auction in Stockport this month.

The items, encompassing everything from precision engineering tools to machinery and detailed replicas, come from a private collection, and represent a lifelong passion for this area of interest.

Notably, the items in the auction have not been heavily used or worn, which should make them of great value to collectors.

The auction will appeal to steam train enthusiasts

Maxwells Auctioneers of Stockport are running a timed auction online from 10am on Tuesday, October 22 until 6pm on Tuesday, October 29. Although the collection is based locally, it is not possible to view the lots in person.

Each item in the auction has been photographed and will be available for viewing in the auction catalogue, available from Maxwells Auctioneers at their Hazel Grove auction rooms or on their website.

Browse the catalogue and make your bids during the allotted time frame, and collection details will be provided once your account is settled.
