Outer Banks season 4 has transported us back to North Carolina, as we rejoin the Pogues and the Kooks on the never-ending hunt for the buried treasure. While everything seemed to be going well for John B. and the gang at the start of the season, things took a turn when a mysterious (and scary) gang seemingly started to come after them – ending in tragedy. But who actually is Terrance, and what’s his relation to Cleo and the others? Here’s what you need to know.
Oh, and *spoilers* btw!
Wait, what happens for Terrance in Outer Banks season 4?
Terrance (played by Terance Rosemore) pops up in Outer Banks season four part one after Cleo is kidnapped by Lightner in an attempt to find the trinket. Lightner takes her from the quay that the Pogues have bought and then threatens to kill her if she doesn’t reveal where the amulet is hidden.
It’s at this point that she comes face-to-face with Terrance again, who she thought was dead. While he appears to be working with her enemy, he insists he’s not on the wrong side, telling her he also thought she wasn’t around anymore, ” I didn’t know that you was mixed up in it. I thought you were dead.”
When the trio are at the Pogues’ house, Cleo is struggling to find the trinket, when Pope arrives home with it. As Lightner moves to kill Cleo, Terrance jumps in the way and is shot, eventually being killed by the wound. The Pogues then have to hide his body from the police, before giving him a sailor’s burial at sea in episode five – the last episode before part two arrives next month.
Who is Terrance?
In case you need a recap, Terrance has been part of Outer Banks since season one, when he was introduced as the captain of the ship that rescued Sarah and John B. when they got into a crisis in the storm. Initially, they saw each other as enemies, but the trio quickly became close friends.
Then, in season two, a member of his crew – aka Cleo (played by Carlacia Grant) joins forces with the gang as they continue their mission in the Bahamas. And while Terrance then doesn’t make an appearance in season three – it was assumed he was killed in the shoot out with the police at the end of season two – he remerges in a surprising Outer Banks season four part one scene, with the gang who are threatening our crew.
