8 Ways Pedro Jimeno Was a Selfish User (His Green Card Hunt Hurt Chantel Everett)

Family Chantel star Pedro Jimeno used to have a good reputation, but his selfish way of treating Chantel Everett casts a long shadow. These days, Pedro’s green card hunting ways have been exposed and the universe will not reward him. Yes, he has a successful real estate career in The Peach State (Georgia, USA), but he is considered a man who stepped over a woman to get what he wanted. People will remember what he did to Chantel and they probably wouldn’t forgive him for freezing her out. When Pedro left, he was hopeless and depressed.

Some marriages end and divorces are understandable. People can drift apart. However, with Pedro and Chantel, it seemed more like he was carrying out a long-term plan than striking a marriage deal with his wife. He changed so suddenly, so profoundly – it was as if the person people saw on the screen had never existed. He was probably playing a role to get a green card. With him safe in America and unlikely to be deported if he left Chantel, he pulled the trigger. He had trusted Pedro and didn’t see this coming.

8 Pedro Let his greed get the best of him

Everyone needs money, but some people understand that it is not the only important thing in life. However, Pedro doesn’t seem to be one of those people. Probably due to his upbringing (his mother was on a greedy rampage while raising him always looking for a better way of life), Pedro is all about the money. It didn’t seem like his family was doing so badly in the Dominican Republic. His mother and sister are still there and have good jobs. However, Lidia Morel, his evil mother, talked about taking money from the sugar daddy while he was married to another woman.

Yes, his mother was a mistress who had children with another woman’s partner. From day one, Pedro grew up in a life where morality wasn’t exactly a top priority. While she certainly had her reasons, and no one has walked a mile in Lidia’s shoes, it’s safe to say she put herself first and kicked out the man’s legal wife. Pedro knows how to group exactly the same way.

7 Pedro cheated on Chantel instead of loving her

He sold her a dream that wasn’t true

Pedro was to live for himself as well, and as you can see in the picture TLC clip above, he was crushed when “fairy tale” he pushed her it turned out fragile and temporary like a sandcastle. He seemed like a good partner to Chantel at first, but in reality he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, preying on his partner instead of loving him. Although no one forced Chantel to date and then marry Pedro, she now thinks that Pedro and his family are a bunch:

and he said as much on screen. Action taking from another person under the guise of caring about them is preying on them. Possibly Pedro chose Chantel because she seemed lonely and gullible. It is quite common for scammers to look for victims who they perceive as weak people.

Chantel is not really weak – loving someone is not a crime. However, he was perhaps blind to a number of red flags that ultimately led to judgment. If he had carefully considered the bad feelings, the cognitive dissonance, the jealousy… maybe he would have made different choices, but you can’t ring the bell.

He shows the world what he really cares about

Pedro is money oriented. He promotes himself on Instagram all the time. He wants to sell houses. His posts aren’t usually personal or touching – he’s all business. He’s living the American dream if it kills him. He has humbled himself to get where he is and nothing will make him give up what he has. The question is how he got into the opportunities – it makes him look like a predator. Of course, he denies using his ex. However, he may have subtly announced it in the post above, writing:

Isn’t that another way of saying it the end justifies the means? Possibly it’s the exact same mindset. Only Pedro knows for sure. Recently, Pedro has been shooting prank videos and posting them on IG. He seems friendly enough – a handsome fellow who is light-hearted – a real estate agent you can trust. However, some fans aren’t buying it. They roast her on the dock and call her out on getting what she has by taking away Chantel’s dreams and peace of mind. One critic read her caption and wrote:

Pedro has a hard time convincing people that he’s not number one. It may be impossible. If he wants to appear less selfish and mercenary, he should sincerely apologize to Chantel for hurting her. He just can’t admit that he engineered their problems. In fact, he seems willing to go to extreme lengths to cover it up. He doesn’t want to find an American woman to use.

5 Pedro’s act of prince charming was self-serving

It’s hard to believe that Pedro loved Chantel – if he really cared, that would be comforting, but what are the odds? It’s not impossible, but given everything that’s happened, it’s highly unlikely. Before he left her, Pedro was very cruel. He called her “lazy,” emotionally kicking her when she was down. She had absolutely no empathy. She was cold to a chilling degree.

What did he really do that was so bad? He hadn’t changed at all – it was Pedro who was different. He seemed to stop playing Prince Charming. When he got out of character, all hell broke loose. They had bought a house together and this seemed to be tearing them apart. Pedro wanted their starter home to be a showpiece – Chantel was tired from her job as a nurse and didn’t have a ton of energy to put into maintaining the home at night.

However, all these complaints about her chores felt like excuses – like a script he had concocted to cover up his true motives. Pedro seemed to be acting and looking for anything that might make him look more like a wronged husband and less like a green card hunter ready to fly solo. Again, only Pedro knows what was true.

4 Pedro probably never loved Chantel

So, the games go on, but very few people seem to believe that he loved Chantel. Takes a step and admits it might get him some respect. At least that would be honest. However, it inevitably triggered a backlash that won’t help him sell apartments. Pedro seems to enjoy his new freedom, but he always strays, just like the amusement park “carnie” who uses magic to keep his tricks a secret from his “marks”. Above, Pedro focuses on his appearance and draws the eye away from his shadow.

3 Pedro can be a woman

Pedro is a charming man and he might enjoy wrapping women around his little finger. With Chantel, he didn’t have to work very hard. He was instantly attracted to her. He taught her Spanish when she fell in love with him. One of her former friends says that he intended to use Chantel from the beginning and that her family was involved. However, Pedro denies this. When Chantel confronted him about this on screen, he looked shocked.

Perhaps the ex-boyfriend had revealed a detail that Pedro never thought would be shown on the show.

Whether he intended to hurt her or not, he seemed to be getting too close to other women. His MO was to form bonds with other women and then deny the existence of those connections. This is gaslighting – a form of cheating that players really understand. The problem here is that Pedro was probably lying to Chantel the whole time. For example, when she questioned his “friendship” with Coraima Morla, he said there was nothing romantic about it.

Later, a conversation was heard that Pedro and Coraima met. He then tried to date Coraima after the breakup.

Pedro has also been linked to his boss Laura Delgado. A private investigator hired by Karen Everett felt that this might be an example of infidelity. It is not impossible that Pedro had many affairs, or maybe he had none, but it seems that there were problems with other women. You can’t really prove it. Chantel tried to believe Pedro and look what happened to him. Of course, he now realizes that he was never trustworthy.

2 Pedro loved his possessions more than Chantel

Pedro destroyed Chantel’s life, leaving her confused and miserable. She planned to have children with this man! Before he left her, he seemed more passionate about his lawn tools and gaming chair than his beautiful wife. Chantel is a glamor girl – it’s not like she’s letting herself go. However, he didn’t seem to see beauty in her. When Pedro started working late and hung out with his coworkers instead of her, she treated him like the Hunchback of Notre-Dame… or the Phantom of the Opera.

At the same time, he lavished love on his comfortable gaming chair. That piece of furniture allowed him to enjoy marathon games without the usual lower back pain. That chair meant the world to him, serving as a symbol of his twisted values. Sometimes, she hits Chantel while sitting comfortably in the chair. Now his favorite plaything is gone—sold by an angry ex-mother-in-law with a wicked sense of humor…and a good break-up.

Pedro may not have had many things growing up. Maybe he dreamed of having the best of everything. However, while looking for gaming chairs, leaf blowers and the like, Pedro forgot that people who are flesh and blood are more valuable than things. Hopefully the divorce will soften him up and bring out a less shallow side.

Pedro may not be able to handle the demands of a mature relationship. Set in his ways, he can retreat into passive-aggressive behavior because he seems afraid to really be himself. He got used to playing the good guy – that’s the role he prefers. However, it might be more sincere to lean a bit on the villain role. Clearly, Pedro is no angel.

The more selfless you are, the less convincing it is. In fact, Pedro’s commitment to a role in romance and online may be his undoing. People have seen a lot of Pedro at this point, and they know better. They might enjoy him more if he brought a touch of honesty to his interactions. As such, Family Chantel the star seems to be a person who will do almost anything to get what he wants. He’s not going to tell the world who he really is.
