Aesha Scott was successful as the main stew Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9, and his success in the mission suggests that he will return for season 10. He grew his skills as a yachtsman to such an extent that he was considered the head of Captain Jason’s interior department. Below deckswhere he established himself as one of the best Below decks Chief Stews ever. While parts of the show felt dated at times, Aesha was the saving grace of Season 9. 8 Aesha worked swimming with the crew

A crew full of franchise-first yachts joined in Below decks universe in season 9. Aesha and Captain Sandy were the only experienced personalities who had appeared on the show prior to the ninth episode, although Elena “Ellie” Dubaich previously worked on one commissioned series in season 7. Apart from Ellie, none of the cast had experience working on a superyacht during the filming of the series. Starting to shoot a reality TV show must have been incredibly scary instead of acting like a famous star, Aesha reached out to her co-workers.

He was kind, receptive and understanding towards everyone. Above all, he treated crew members and guests with respect. Although Aesha had to navigate the conflict with Ellie and Bri Muller throughout the charter season, she didn’t choose a side. He always gave people a fair hearing when they had problems.

There is no denying that the main stew and the captain have a great personal and professional relationship. Before season 9, Aesha had a relationship with Captain Sandy. He worked for her as a cook during Deck Med seasons 4 and 5although their friendship went far beyond the camera. When Aesha returned for episode nine, she revealed that she had been on a double date with her fiance Scotty Dobbo and Captain Sandy and his wife Laura Shafer. He didn’t hide his excitement at his meeting with the Mustique captain, admitting he was excited to prove he was the main stew.

Below decks duo Aesha and Captain Sandy have been in love since season 9 and it would be a shame if they didn’t get a chance to work with each other again on the show. Since Hannah was fired during Season 5, the Captain has not found a suitable replacement for the former head stew. They’ve gone through a number of Chief Stews in his absence, including Bugsy Drake, Katie Flood, Natasha Webb and Tumi Mhlongo. Despite the fact that every woman does enough work in her season, none of them formed an incredibly strong bond with Captain Sandy like Aesha did. Their off-screen friendship helped their work style in Season 9, further proving why Aesha should return for Season 10.

6 He deconstructed Bri and Ellie’s conflict as much as possible

The biggest source of conflict Deck Med season 9 was Bri and Ellie’s love triangle with Joe Bradley. The stews spent most of the show fighting over a leader who had no interest in being with them. At the top of the season, Ellie told Bri that she wanted to take a possible boat trip with her. Bri ignored his feelings – she ended up dating him anyway. Before the evening together in the hot tub, Ellie mentored the third stew job and took the pressure off Aesha’s shoulders. Ellie taught Bri the ins and outs of sailing.

However, their relationship changed when Bri joined Joe. Ellie stopped helping him, was rude to him, and threatened to use his position as another stew to get him off the crew. The main stew agreed Daily dish in July 2024 that Bri and Ellie’s fight was her “the biggest challenge of the season.” As they continued to argue after they sat down, Aesha tried her best to squash their drama but to no avail. Bri and Ellie didn’t exchange views, though Aesha made sure they didn’t take sides.

5 Aesha Was A Shoulder For The Crew To Lean On

He was there for Gael in the middle of his breakdown

Aesha was a great support system for the Season 9 crew. Above all, Chief Stew formed an extremely close friendship with frontman Gael Cameron. As Gael dealt with relationship issues, Aesha was there for him, acting as a support system for his new friend. He felt comfortable enough to confide his feelings to Aesha without fear of being judged. Gael was in trouble when she joined a superyacht with a boyfriend, but found a connection with another deck hand, Nathan Gallagher. Instead of judging him for coming out with his feelings, Aesha did what any good friend would do and supported her friend.

When Gael’s ex broke up with him during the crew’s dinner, Chief Stew rushed to his side and acted as a shoulder to cry on. If she hadn’t been there for him at that moment, Gael could have felt isolated and possibly left Mustique to take care of his relationship back home. Instead, Aesha was there to lift him up and offer words of encouragement. Chief Stew continued to defend Gael after periodsexplained that the full extent of her relationship with her ex-husband was not depicted on the show.

4 He is unlikely to return under cover

It would be difficult for Aesha to lead two shows in a row

As fans adored Aesha Below decks, his throw Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea all but confirm that he will not be returning for the second series. He made his debut as a franchise manager in a program based in Australia under the guidance of Captain Jason. Aesha faced a lot of conflict in season 1 with chef Ryan McKeown and Magda Ziomek, although she was also central to one of the show’s worst moments to date. Bri and Ellie weren’t the most experienced yachtsmen, but Chief Stew didn’t seem to mind their lack of experience.

When she tried to let them hold the lunch service without her help, they were incredibly unprepared, causing Aesha to end her break early and continue working to ensure the quality of the guests’ experience. Aesha would have liked to have some help from her team, but instead of being disheartened by their performance, she quietly continued to give her 100% effort to her work every day.

2 Aesha shut down Ellie’s drama

He wouldn’t let another stew walk around

After struggling without four stews all season, Carrie O’Neill joined the crew for the last few charters. When she arrived, Aesha had a lot more help, and the inner team was much more successful. Although Bri was excited to learn about Carrie’s extensive stewing experience, Ellie was selfishly worried that he would take her job. Aesha admitted that Carrie surpassed both of her OG stews, but didn’t give her another stew title so as not to hurt anyone’s feelings.

However, Ellie tried to confront Aesha after Carrie started working mainly in the service. Aesha immediately shut him down and told him that the decision wasn’t personal – it was for the good of the crew. Ellie’s ego clouded her judgment and made her jealous of Carrie. However, Aesha made sure both women kept their dignity.

Frankly, Aesha is the most popular stream Below decks personality and Deck Med needs him. Ever since Hannah was fired in Season 5, the spin-off has struggled with ratings. Deck Med used to be known as the best show in the series, but its popularity dropped after longtime Chief Stew was fired.. Before Aesha came back, the show felt incredibly boring.

Interesting to see how Below decks makes a new one with Chief Stew after Aesha’s absence. His Casting as Chief Stew of Deck Med season 9 was a smart move by the show’s production team. Time will tell if Aesha will return for season 10, but all signs point to her return next season.
