70% of younger people now experience food intolerance symptoms, compared to just 20% of people over 55, according to a new report. A new survey by Censuswide commissioned by Pho also found that Britons aged 16-24 are far more likely to have simply Googled symptoms rather than seeking medical advice to deal with them.

The survey found that more than 40% of young adults now say they have major food intolerances, including gluten allergens.

Phos marketing director Libby Andrews said: “Despite gluten being such a common food allergen, it can be difficult for people to eat out safely.” Pho is officially approved and accredited by Celiac UK.
