The Easter holidays are just days away, and whilst kids will be beaming with joy at the prospect of two weeks off school, it certainly creates a bit of admin on the parents’ side in terms of activity planning. But don’t worry – that’s where we come in! We’ve partnered with South Western Railway to give you inspo on fun Easter holiday activities in London that are worth jumping on the train for.

Nestled in the leafy, green grounds of Regent’s Park live over 10,000 amazing animals, ranging from armies of miniscule ants to mighty, silverback gorillas. London Zoo is part of a conservation charity that does crucial work in both restoring natural habitats, as well as protecting endangered species from within the zoo. As you explore you’ll come across lions, zebras, giraffes, pelicans, monkeys and so many more. The zoo also offers fascinating daily talks on endangered species, and the Adventure zone play area is a great place for the kids to have a run around. Outer Circle, Regent’s Park, NW1 4RY

4. Wes and Sandy’s pick of the week

The round-up wouldn’t be complete without a recommendation from South Western Railway’s winged friends, Wes and Sandy. Whilst Wes likes to keep a bird’s eye view of London’s best pubs, clubs, and music venues, Sandy spends her time tuning into the city’s hottest new restaurants and upcoming cultural events. But one thing they can always agree on, is that it’s not Easter until you’ve had a slap-up roast dinner. Here’s a list of some of our favourite places in the city to enjoy one, should you find yourself a little peckish during the holidays.

5. Enjoy a day of Easter-themed fun at Hobbledown Heath

6. Plan an Easter egg hunt in Holland Park

If we’re graced with fair weather throughout the holidays, it only seems right to utilise one of London’s gorgeous green spaces to host your own mini Easter egg hunt. Holland Park is considered one of the most beautiful parks in the city due to its enchanting woodlands and idyllic Kyoto Garden. The only thing that could make wandering through this peaceful inner city haven more enjoyable is uncovering some delicious chocolate eggs along the way…
