Though we might generally prefer a different kind of football (let’s call it soccer for the purposes of this article) in Londonthat doesn’t stop the Super Bowl from getting plenty of love each year. Here’s the thing, though: due to the competition taking place in the States kick-off is near midnight on Sunday, February 11. Play then goes on until the early hours of Monday (yes, Monday) morning. Despite that, plenty of spaces get packed out for special viewings each year across the city.

And with Usher himself performing during the half-time show, you won’t want to miss any of it. So whether you’re a Swiftie who’s been convinced to check out the sporting spectacle, or a die-hard fan of the annual event already, here are the best places in London to watch the Super Bowl LVIII.

If I were a betting person, I’d say this might be the top spot to watch the game. That may or may not be because it’s a casino, but The Hippodrome is undoubtedly going to throw a great watching party. It doesn’t hurt that they’re already open 24/7, given how late the match will run! The casino will be showing the action on a massive 10-metre screen in their Lola’s Underground venue. You’ll get undefeated shots of both the gameplay and the half-time performance, with plenty of Super Bowl snacks and ice-cold beer for the full experience. You could even up the ante by enjoying an impressive tomahawk steak dinner at Hippodrome’s Heliot Steak House before settling in for the football action. Book your spot here.

📍 Cranbourn Street, WC2H 7JH. Nearest station is Leicester Square.

London’s immersive football bar is turning its attention to the American variety of the sport when the Super Bowl comes around. They’re showing the action on their big screens, with private screening rooms also available. There will even be a variety of interactive games on offer to get into the Yankee spirit, such as Crockinole, Beer Pong, Foosball, and more. And, of course, there’ll be plenty of wings, bottles of beer, and the iconic all-American red cups to complete the experience. Get enough friends together and you can even hire out their private viewing experience! Head to their website to find out more.

Best known as somewhere to go for a Friday night boogie, The Blues Kitchen will turn their attention to Sunday night for a slice of Super Bowl action. They’ll have live music from 8pm to keep the spirits high all night, with food and drinks available until late to get you all the way to the end of the evening (or morning, rather). Tickets can be bought in advance for £5, but walk-ins will also be available on a first-come first-served basis. Head to the website to secure your spot so you don’t miss out!

Attendees can expect the requisite enormous screens, plus bucking broncos, beer pong, DJs, eating challenges, giveaways, and plenty of booze courtesy of event partner, Coors. Each BOXPARK will also be keeping a fair few of their food traders open until late, to fill that gaping maw when the midnight peckishness arrives. Find out more here.

BOXPARK may claim to be throwing the biggest Super Bowl screening party, but Clapham Grand will surely give them a run for their money. Following a sell-out screening last year, they’re back for 2024 and already almost completely sold out again! Fret not, because there are still some tickets left if you act fast. And if you manage to get in, you’ll be blessed with plenty of beer, as well as hearty grub from wing connoisseurs Thunderbird Chicken all night long. And if that wasn’t enough, attendees will be entertained with a live cheerleading show and confetti cannons. Not your average at-home viewing experience, in other words.
