5. Butchers Salon, Hackney
Based in Hackney, Butchers Salon is a rustic and quirky venue that is decked out with all the foliage your heart could ever desire. This salon believes in ‘great hair and skin with minimal impact to animals and the planet’, so you can enjoy your experience guilt-free. And they are known for their Butchers blow dries, so if you want to be blown away, that’s a great start.

The artist known as The Painted Lady (aka Belinda Hay) may have given up her Redchurch Street salon, but she’s still trimming, colouring, and drying at Hackney Downs Studios. The unisex salon also takes care of bleaching and balayage, and a roll-call of happy customers make this one of the London salons you’ve got to try!

Skyler London was the UK’s first ever ‘colour only’ hair salon. 8. Duck and Dry, Multiple Locations
Duck and Dry are so popular they have five locations dotted around London, so if you’re in need of a ‘ducking good blow dry’, you know where to go. 9. The Rabbit Hole, Hammersmith
The Rabbit Hole is one of the very few salons in London that are 100% vegan! The products, ingredients and snacks are all plant-based, with the staff also following vegan lifestyles. You can expect a long list of hair services on offer and the warmest reception from their staff. The salon itself is chic and minimal, with green rabbits perfectly positioned around the venue to add a splash of colour. 10. Blue Tit, Multiple Locations
Okay, the name is rather humorous, but this award-winning boutique hairdressers has no fewer than ten salons all over London. Our favourite is perhaps the Dalston branch, which is covered in vintage photographs, brick walls and lots of upcycled knick knacks.
